The Cyclone features breakthrough advancements in wind and shock isolation performance. A unique "multi-suspension" design provides complete isolation against all forms of handling noise. Outstanding shock protection is provided by the Rycote patented Lyre Microphone Suspension System, plus the all-new Floating-Basket Suspension with Lyre® Technology (patent pending) that provides isolation between the basket structure and the microphone suspension.

A two-piece, Z-Locking design magnetically affixes the basket around the microphone for instant and secure attachment to, or detachment from, the suspension. Increased transparency is achieved due to the cone-like shape, that vastly reduces reflective parallel surfaces, and this unique design of the basket gives superior wind-noise protection with our 3D-Tex fabric and without the need for a fur Windjammer.

The 089102 Rycote Cyclone Windshield Kit, Medium package includes a Cyclone Suspension fitted with a pair of 62-shore Universal Lyres, Cyclone cable (fitted) with Cyclone XLR holder, Cyclone Windshield System, Medium (left and right sections), and a hex key driver for Lyre adjustment. This Cyclone Medium Kit is ideal for popular shotgun mics such as DPA 4017B, 4018A; Neumann KMR 81i, KMR 81D; Rode NTG-3, NTG-4; Sanken CS-1, CS-2; Schoeps CMC w/Cut 1, CMIT 5U, CMC w/Cut 60; Sennheiser MKH 416, MKH 8060 with MZF.
