The GB0530 is a 3-section, carbon fiber boompole that measures 2.76' (84 cm) when collapsed and 7' (214 cm) when expanded. The pole is intended to mount various field and studio microphones such as shotgun and stereo microphones.

The GB0530's 6X carbon fiber tubing guarantees structural strength, flexion rigidity and great vibration absorption properties. The performance of this multilayer design is unique thanks to the advanced aerospace production technology and the pole's exclusive inner structure. Gitzo's 6X carbon fiber tubing is the highest density tube available made of 100% top quality ultra thin (7µm) carbon fibers (a 28 mm tube contains 1.500.000 carbon fibers).

Another feature found on the GB0530 is Gitzo's Anti Leg Rotation (ALR) system which helps to stabilize microphones by allowing the user to quickly lock each section in place. Simply loosen all the twist locks on each leg at the same time, then pull the leg down and tighten the locks individually. This innovative G-Lock system increases rigidity by 20%, a key factor in booming effectively. The GB0330 comes in a brushed matte black finish to minimize reflectivity.
