The Rycote Softie-Lite is a slip-on windshield designed to perfectly complement the INV-Lite shock-mount, allowing for even faster/deeper boom swings indoors. Softie-Lite provides more plosive and wind protection than a standard foam.

Rycote Softie-Lite - Features:

• Designed specifically for the INV-Lite shockmount
• For use with shorter, lighter shotgun mics for interior booming
• Provides more protection against plosives and wind-noise than a foam windshield
• Allows for outdoor use in light winds
• Available in two versions, for 19mm and 21mm microphones, respectively
• Lightweight and compact, just 27g and only 170cm long

The two versions of the Softie-Lite–19mm and a 21mm–are easily differentiated by the different color TPE collar which ensures a tight grip on the mic: Blue for the 19mm, Green for the 21mm. They fit the following:

  • Schoeps MiniCMIT

NOTE: The Softie-Lite is not suitable for shorter mics like the Sennheiser 8050 or the DPA 4018. For these mics, the INV-Lite partnered with Rycote Baseball is the way to go.
