Val joined LSC in 1989 with experience in live sound, industrial AV, and system integration. He and his lovely wife, Andrea (whom he met at LSC) are kept busy raising their two beautiful children. He received his B.A. in Music from California State University, Northridge, and still enjoys playing music with his son, a budding trombonist! Val is also an avid amateur photographer.

Dave Auslender

Chances are you’ll be assisted by one of four unique “Daves’” on the LSC staff… Dave Auslender. He has extensive knowledge about film production gear such as walkies, bell and light systems, Telex wireless systems, and more. Dave started prepping walkie packages in Rental’s Communication section in 1997. Ten years later, he made the switch to our Sales Department.
While working full time, he attended the Pasadena Art Center where he completed a course in “Basic Sound Mixing”. His audio expertise was furthered by completing LSC’s in-house “Mixing Techniques” course and a Motorola-sponsored “Radio Fundamentals” course.

Bill
Hansen

Bill has been
with LSC since 1997. Born and raised in Nebraska and
educated at Berklee College of Music in Boston, he has
been involved with pro audio gear as a musician, live
sound engineer, recording engineer and salesman for
more than 30 years. Bill does an excellent job consulting
with customers to sell them the best products available
for their application within budget. Guitar playing
is his passion.

Doug Marcum

The Sales Department's resident wine
appreciator, Doug has been with the company since 1994.
A professional musician from 1974 to 1992, and moonlighting
on off nights as a recording engineer in Northern California,
Doug has seen a big change in audio equipment in the
last three decades. "Matching the right gear to
the right customer and project can sometimes be a challenge,"
he says. But, no worries. Doug effectively steers you
through this labyrinth of options.

José Gonzalez

Jose got his start in the film business
at the Video Tape Company where tapes were transferred
and shipped to TV stations for syndication. He joined
LSC in 1987 starting in the Materials Department, moving
to Rental, and finally to Sales. Jose is often referred
to as the "Star of NAB", hosting audio enthusiasts
from Argentina to New Zealand- he is our international
specialist. Jose is a loving husband and father of two.

Jim Myzel

In 1994, Jim started in LSC's Rental
Department setting up equipment requiring multiple wireless
systems and frequency coordination. After five years,
he took advantage of an opportunity to learn new skills
via an opening in the Sales Department.
Jim's previous work experiences at
a recording studio, music store (back in the days of
LPs), and musician developed his natural interest for
audio. Outside of work, he spends time with his family,
tinkers with his home studio and mixes for film and
live shows.

Gil Reyes

Gil's audio career started in 1965
with the Sound Foyer Division of Radio Products Sales,
first as an electronic technician and, eventually, as
a sales representative for commercial audio equipment.
By 1976, Gil joined Audio Concepts/Dave Kelsey Sound
as a sales manager. Seven years thereafter, Gil worked
on the recording and post production side of the business
with Coast Recording Equipment Supply. In 1993, Gil
joined LSC, where in addition to excelling as a Senior
Sales Representative, he has been responsible for the
setup and display of products in our booth at the NAB
convention.
