If you find yourself in our sales department, there is a good chance that you'll be assisted by Dave Auslender. Dave has extensive knowledge about film production gear such as walkie-talkies, bell and light stations, repeaters, Telex wireless systems, and more. Dave started prepping walkie and wireless packages in Rental's Communication section in 1997. Later, he moved to the Rental Coordinator position handling customer service and walkie-talkie logistics for several top television productions. At the beginning of 2007, he made the switch to the Sales Department.

While working full time, he attended the Pasadena Art Center where he completed a course in “Basic Sound Mixing”. His audio expertise was further enhanced by completing Location Sound's in-house “Mixing Techniques” course, a Motorola-sponsored “Radio Fundamentals” course, as well as Yamaha and Sennheiser product immersion courses. His hobbies include playing drums and woodworking.

Val joined Location Sound in 1989 with experience in live sound, industrial AV, and system integration. He received his B.A. in Music from California State University, Northridge. Val is also an avid photographer.
